The Role

The Full Stack Engineer is a hands-on technical role responsible for designing, developing, and supporting business process solutions that automate, digitize, and modernize end-to-end workflows within Fidelity's operational environment.

In this role, you will participate in the full software development lifecycle, working towards the design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and support of modern applications. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, adaptable, and passionate about building high-quality software solutions that drive operational efficiency and business transformation.

You will work closely with a team of highly skilled engineers, business analysts, architects, and SME’s to deliver innovative solutions that improve customer and operational experiences across Fidelity's Business Performance Measurement organization.

The Team

The BPM Intelligence Platform team increases productivity, broadens access to trusted insights, and accelerates data-driven decision-making across Finance. BPM Intelligence Platform builds on BPM's established foundation of trusted data products, analytics, and decision support capabilities to create a scalable intelligence platform for Finance. By combining trusted data, business context, and AI-powered analytics, the platform enables associates to access insights faster, answer more complex business questions, and make better-informed decisions.

Building cloud-native applications to replace legacy platforms and technologies
Modernizing workflow capabilities through next-generation solutions
Enhancing and optimizing operational processes to improve scalability, efficiency, and reliability
Delivering innovative solutions that simplify complex business processes

Key Responsibilities (The Value You Deliver)

Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support
Develop, enhance, and maintain applications that support critical business processes and operational workflows
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established engineering standards and best practices
Develop and support RESTful APIs, backend services, and system integrations that enable automation solutions
Collaborate with engineers, business analysts, architects, SMEs and user experience teams to deliver scalable and reliable applications
Assist in troubleshooting production issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing sustainable solutions
Work towards application modernization initiatives and the migration of legacy processes to modern platforms
Participate in code reviews, team ceremonies, and continuous improvement activities
Learn and apply emerging technologies, tools, and engineering practices to improve solution delivery

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

Required Skills and Expertise

3-5 years of full stack software engineering experience
Building web applications end-to-end
Developing scalable APIs and microservices
Working in Agile teams
Integrating AI-powered solutions into products
Strong system design, testing, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Python, Java.
Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
Knowledge of relational databases and SQL fundamentals
Familiarity with Git-based source control and development practices
Excellent communication skills, with a willingness to learn and grow

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
Exposure to financial services, operations, or enterprise-scale applications
Experience in GenAI / CoPilot or any similar tool for analysis, design and code development
Python, Java, TypeScript, React, Spring Boot, Node.js, REST APIs,
AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, SQL,
GitHub Copilot, Claude, Gemini, LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, Splunk,
Datadog, Agile Development.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $39.46-$79.46 per hour.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
