Machine Learning / Gen AI Engineer

The Role

The Workplace Investing AI Delivery Engineering Chapter team is seeking a Machine Learning / Gen AI engineer to design, implement, and improve technical solutions for Gen AI solutions including RAG, Prompt Engineering, Fine Tuning, ML model deployment, data pipelines, hosting, and API development. We are looking for an outspoken technologist with a deep passion for data and application design to help build AWS based Gen AI solutions.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

5+ years hands on development experience in Machine Learning System.
Experience with working on Gen AI solutions with Large Language Models, LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Prompt Engineering and Fine tuning.
Strong programming skills in Python, Java.
Solid experience with developing python-based APIs required (FastAPI / Flask).
Experience as a Machine Learning engineer building feature engineering pipelines, deploying AI models, and optimizing model inference.
Design and develop machine learning and deep learning systems using appropriate ML algorithms / frameworks.
Experience working with security, data, and AI pipeline technologies (RDS/Postgres, Snowflake, Airflow) and infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Python, Ansible, CFT).
Proven work experience using AWS services: Deploy the models in Sagemaker, cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake or RDS for analytics data hosting. EC2/EKS compute set-up.
Work with data to create models and perform statistical analysis, train and retrain models to optimize performance.
Run machine learning tests and experiments.
Experience with search engine platforms like Apache SOLR, Elastic Search or OpenSearch would be a big plus.
Superior SQL skills and experience performing deep data analysis on multiple database platforms.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

The team is an agile squad in the Healthcare Intelligence AI Delivery Product Area in Healthcare Group. The squad intends to use cloud technologies and deploy solutions using all current software engineering principles. It’s a phenomenal chance to work on an agile team to help build innovative and high business value AI powered solutions to improve tough manual operations activities.
