  • Quickly learn and assume ownership of established accounting processes.

  • Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and aligned with corporate accounting policies and internal control requirements.

  • Investigate and resolve accounting issues, reconciling items, and process exceptions in partnership with the appropriate teams.

  • Coordinate with finance, operations, technology, treasury, tax, legal, and other partners to support accounting activities and resolve issues.

  • Support internal and external audit requests and related financial, regulatory, and management reporting needs.

  • Maintain and enhance process, control, and procedure documentation to support knowledge transfer and business continuity.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA and/or master’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

  • 7+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within financial services or a large, complex corporate environment.

  • Demonstrated experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and financial reporting.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.

  • Ability to quickly understand new businesses, accounting processes, systems, and complex organizational structures.

  • Proven ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take accountability for high-quality results.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and drive them to resolution.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that build constructive relationships with business partners and team members.

  • Ability to balance attention to detail with an understanding of broader business priorities and objectives.

  • Flexibility to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing needs, and meet critical deadlines.

  • An inquisitive, improvement-oriented mindset and a willingness to learn new technology.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with enterprise resource planning and financial reporting tools; Oracle EBS, Oracle EPM, and Workiva experience is a plus.

  • Ability to translate detailed accounting information into a clear, higher-level story for stakeholders and business partners.
