Job Description:
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be immersed in every aspect of product development. Your independent voice will ensure that quality is engineered into the product. You will produce fully automated tests for each story within each sprint. You will successfully solve technical issues and seamlessly collaborate with the Product Manager, analysts, developers, business specialists, and vendors to ensure quality at every step. Your contributions will result in a fully test automated product which will have a direct positive impact on the user experience.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring:
- 8+ years of relevant technical experience and experience in test automation
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required.
- Experience in Agile development methodology and Jira tool
- Experience in testing distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stack
- Hands-on experience in Test Management lifecycle
- Strong working knowledge of Relational Databases like Oracle or DB2 or Postgres and experience with PL/SQL and complex queries, views, packages etc.
- Strong experience in Test automation design, development and execution using frameworks eg. RestAssured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, TestNG.
- Strong proven experience in programming - Java/Spring boot. Strong SQL skills are required. Knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of continuous integration and deployment – GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube, etc.
- Proven experience with Azure/AWS cloud technologies, DevOps, CI/CD experience.
- The candidate should have experience in designing test strategy, test automation suites independently for a new product/application.
- Experience in working with Stock Plan Services/ Brokerage is a plus.
- Experience in working with Mainframe Technologies – Cobol & JCL is a plus
The Team
You’ll be a member of an API development squad on the wider SPS (Stock Plan Services) Global Record Keeping team. This will mean working closely with other squads, both front end and application level, in parallel to ensure a streamlined approach to development and testing. The goal of the Global Record Keeping Modernization initiative is to create a modernized solution to advance the SPS vision and be the leading global stock plan provider, delivering solutions that help every employer and employee maximize the value of their equity programs and drive participant engagement and plan sponsor retention. We are looking for someone highly technical who is seeking challenges and growth within their role.
