Job Description

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain highly available and scalable interfaces on our next generation platform, laying a path that will span decades into the future. You will have the opportunity to share your technical knowledge to help strengthen our engineering community and further pursue your own learning of new technologies and platforms.

The Skills You Bring

7-10 years of software development experience in business critical, enterprise-wide applications
Excellent mainframe skills in COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, IBM Utilities, FileAID, Endevor, SQL, Debuggers, Schedulers, and IOMs
Ability to perform detailed analysis for maintenance and enhancement projects in the batch and online environments.
Design, deploy and support software releases into production environments
You are detailed oriented and execute thorough unit, functional and regression testing
Ability to perform hands on detailed analysis
Be proactive in your work in development and designing solutions
Experienced in handling high severity/ critical production issues
Excellent documentation skills
Proven Experience writing COBOL/Native stored procedures is a plus (Nice to have/Willing to learn)
Experience in Distributed Technologies such as Java and service based architecture via RESTful APIs (Nice to have/Willing to learn)
Awareness or exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, particularly in hybrid mainframe–cloud integration scenarios (Nice to have/Willing to learn)

The Team

The team is crafting a Brokerage Recordkeeping Platform in the public cloud. This opportunity is vital for Fidelity Investments' future success and expansion. Our goal is to build capabilities necessary to run intraday recordkeeping within a cloud environment within the short to mid timeframe.
