We are seeking a skilled TypeScript Developer to play a vital role in developing the future-state of the client's distributed, single page and transaction-based applications using Agile practices. This team provides core application development and support services for internal systems. The team works on technology-based projects in collaboration with other Fidelity systems divisions, customers, and clients. Skills and Knowledge: Strong TypeScript development working on enterprise level applications; experienced with building frameworks for modern transactional and data processing applications; Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment while meeting expectations; Experience with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM, Extreme Programming, TDD etc.; Strong verbal and written communication - must be able to actively engage other team members; Understanding of Agile systems development techniques using Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Deployment (CD) and DevOps. Technical: Experience or exposure to a number of the following concepts and technologies is desired; Application development using TypeScript. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or higher; Investment/financial services and/or brokerage industry experience is highly desired!

The Purpose of This Role
As part of the WorkHUB program within the Fidelity Advanced Process Solutions (APS) Center for Applied Technologies (FCAT), The candidate will be part of a team which is focused on supporting and evolving Fidelity's main workflow UI. APS is leaning into the current workflow engine XTRAC to enhance support for high-touch manual processing and improve throughput.

The Value You Deliver
The ideal candidate will play the role of a Developer for the team squad that builds the web applications for Operations users and end customers. The candidate is expected to design and develop features, manage code reviews & deployments, and coordinate with various stakeholders for development. The candidate will have an opportunity to work in the fast paced core-brokerage financial industry domain along with an opportunity to learn new functionality and technology.
Required Technical skills
- Experience developing and maintaining enterprise web applications written using modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, Vue, React JS), Angular experience is preferred
- A solid, practical understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript
- Proficiency using HTML and CSS, including an understanding of accessibility needs and cross-browser compatibility
- Experience working with Git/Version control
- Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups, both in person and virtually, in a constructive and collaborative manner
- Ability to apply a long-term mentality thinking to help produce scalable, maintainable solutions
- Experience developing user interfaces based on wireframes, visual designs and UX specifications
- Commitment to quality and high standards
- Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders
- The desire to learn and grow. To seek out ways to challenge yourself and expand your knowledge of both the business and the technology you work with
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Able to understand a complex and global systems environment

Your experience with the following will be a plus:
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and driving automation
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- You embrace customer-first mentality and enjoy developing user-friendly web applications that solve real life problems
- Experience with AG-Grid.
- Experience with Google Analytics.
- An understanding or familiarity with financial technology and the stock market
