About the Role:
We have an outstanding opportunity for a Software Engineer with a strong passion for building quality code to join our dynamic Digital Platforms Technology Group. Our team is dedicated to designing, developing, and implementing innovative products that enhance the digital experiences of Fidelity Workplace Solutions customers. Key Responsibilities:
As a Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a Scrum team within the Digital Platforms Technology Group. You’ll be participating in design discussions, analysis, and building quality code that adheres to design and architecture standards. Your role will involve close collaboration with the Squad Lead, Scrum Master, Analysts, Quality Assurance professionals, Architects, and fellow Developers. Together, you will design, build, test, and deliver features that elevate Fidelity’s digital experiences.

- You will be an active member of a co-located scrum team(s) made up of other software engineers, quality automation engineers and analysts responsible for delivering key customer features.
- We are looking for an engineer who is versatile, always eager to take on new problems, share solutions and collaborate with fellow engineers as we push the technology forward.
- A full stack engineer with a strong foundation in java-based web applications.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring:
- BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Robust critical thinking skills coupled with a desire for growth, to learn and to engage with peers in technical and design discussions.
- Experience in communicating technical needs and capabilities to non-technical team members, product owners, and partners.
- Ability to utilize a long-term mentality to help produce scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Passion to provide guidance on standard methodologies and collaborate with other Developers within the wider Digital Platforms Technology team. Help to improve engineering, architectural and coding standards.
- Strong proficiency in server-side development: Java, Spring, Middle tier restful services, Camel
- Hands-on experience working with Apache Struts in enterprise or legacy environments.
- Ability to debug, maintain, and modernize Struts-based applications.
- Solid experience with front-end technologies such as Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, NPM, HTML/CSS, RxJS.
- Experience with incident management and issue troubleshooting is a plus.
- Experience in financial services applications is a plus.
