The Role
The NPO Outreach Specialist is a member of the NPO Outreach team and is responsible for providing excellent service to our grant recommended nonprofit organizations. This position plays a meaningful role in helping our donors ensure their funds make an impact by supporting thousands of non-profit organizations to receive contributions quickly and securely. As a team member on our diverse and inclusive team, your main responsibilities will be researching and outreach to key charity contacts, validating non-profit information, and providing timely and accurate processing of enrollments into our Electronic Funds Transfer Program (EFT). Outreach may include cold-calling, emails, and support to targeted nonprofits.

As a member of Fidelity Charitable’s Service Delivery team, the NPO Outreach Specialist will be part of a highly motivated, fast paced team, must have a strong understanding of service operations, and be able to manage priorities well. This role may be responsible for some tier 1 technical support for charities and tier 2 product level support for our plan administrators and donor population.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in customer service or service operations, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates attention to detail, with good follow-through
  • Strong interpersonal, planning, multi-tasking, and time leadership skills
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Demonstrates ability to identify and mitigate potential areas of risk
  • Technical proficiency
  • Ability to meet overtime commitments
  • Ability to understand and work in Fidelity systems such as XTRAC, RepApp, Genesys (not required)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required
  • Work hours are M-F 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CT, with extended hours as needed
The Team
The NPO Outreach Team works with nonprofits to ensure they quickly and securely receive grants through electronic funds transfers. The team works directly with nonprofits to help them enroll in the program and collaborates with other service delivery organizations to communicate with and support nonprofits. Our work is critical to moving the organization and our grantmaking to digital payment methods.
