Fidelity Institutional (FI) is looking for a Principal Front-End Full Stack Engineer with a focus in Angular to join the Integrated Portfolio Construction team to implement innovative solutions for financial advisors using the latest technology in a collaborative and engaging environment. You will play a leading role in the Agile development of analytical tools used in the portfolio construction process. These tools will be used by not only members of the Fidelity Institutional Wealth Adviser (FIWA) Investment team but also partners across FI in discussions with external clients. Our development teams are highly collaborative and encourage creativity, innovation, and excellence.
This engineer will play a key role in elevating our UI architecture and delivery, collaborating closely with the Squad Lead and UX Designer to deliver high-quality, consistent, and user-centered experiences.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Key Requirements:
- Expertise in Angular, with a strong grasp of the latest features and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with micro frontends and scalable front-end architectures.
- Ability to evaluate and guide decisions on Fidelity Design System components vs custom components and third-party libraries.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to negotiate UX trade-offs and align with broader design strategy.
- Comfortable participating in cross-functional discussions to drive UI/UX consistency across squads.
- Exposure to Java Spring Boot for backend interactions.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud environments.
- Experience with Cypress.io or similar tools for test automation.
